Best Buy CA as Channel

Best Buy  (Best Buy CA) is a marketplace channel that allows approved sellers to list and sell products directly on BestBuy.ca. Through this integration, you can manage product listings, inventory updates, order fulfillment, and pricing to align with Best Buy Canada’s marketplace requirements. Sellers must be approved by Best Buy CA before integrating, and compliance with their category, content, and fulfillment guidelines is required to maintain listings.

 

How To Connect

  • Navigate to the Connections menu on the left panel.
  • Click on the +Add Connection button to add a new connection. Name it and follow the prompts.
  • In Flxpoint, go to the Channel Setup Wizard and click Create Channel. Name it (e.g., Best Buy CA) and choose the processes you’d like to integrate (Sync Listings, Publish Listings, Get Orders, Sync Orders).
  • In Step 2/4 – Configure Integration Type, select Best Buy CA (Pro).
  • Move to Connect Channel (Step 3/4) and click New Best Buy CA Connection.
  • Enter your Connection Name and Access Token. The Access Token is required to authenticate with Best Buy CA.
  • To retrieve your Access Token, visit Best Buy Developer Portal, click "Get API Key", log in, and retrieve your credentials.
  • Click Test Connection to verify. Once successful, click Save Connection and Next to proceed to Confirm Integrations (Step 4/4).
  • Your Best Buy CA (Pro) channel is now configured. Complete the wizard to finalize your listing, order, and syncing preferences.

 

Listing Operations

This section covers the operations related to managing your Best Buy CA listings, including linking, syncing, and publishing.

Publish Listings

SUPPORTED

The Best Buy CA publish operation creates an offer on Best Buy. This offer is associated with a product by either a UPC or EAN. This means product content is not pushed to Best Buy, but rather leveraged from existing products on the Best Buy platform using the offer → product association.

Warning: Sometimes marketplaces have incorrect UPCs, or suppliers provide the same UPC for multiple items. For example, a marketplace may have UPC 123 for a laptop when it is actually the UPC for a laptop power cord. In these situations, the offer created will link to a mismatched product. To resolve this, you will need to update the UPC inside of Flxpoint to match the correct listing.

Extra info: We create offers on Best Buy CA, and for an offer to be created, the product with the corresponding SKU must already exist on Best Buy CA. If the product is not available, the offer creation fails, resulting in an error. To improve clarity, consider including the SKU in the error message.

Sync & Link Listings

Link Listings – SUPPORTED

Deleting Products on Your Store: If you delete a product on your store without using Flxpoint, the item will still appear as “Linked” inside of Flxpoint until the next Listings Sync. After the next sync, the listing will show a “Broken Link” status. You will need to unlink and then relink the items in your listings section to fix this.


Sync Listings – SUPPORTED

This will sync any changes that have been made to listing variants since the last time a sync was performed to the Best Buy CA channel.

Import Listings

Currently, there is no additional information for importing listings into Best Buy CA.

 

Order Operations

This section covers the operations for managing your Best Buy CA orders, including fetching (Get Orders) and updating shipping details (Sync Orders).

Get Orders

SUPPORTED

This operation will import any new orders from Best Buy CA that have not yet been imported by Flxpoint.


Shipping Mappings – REQUIRED

Configure the shipping method to assign the mapping to imported orders. Shipping Mapping is the process of pre-selecting specific shipping methods and saving them in your Channel Settings so that when new orders are imported, these forms will be auto-assigned to those orders.

If you're unsure, check how the store's shipping method is listed in a test order. You will need to map to this exact method, and assign different shipping for expedited services as required by your suppliers.


My Orders are not importing. What should I do?

  • The most likely cause is that the order status on your store does not match the status(es) Flxpoint is configured to import. Double check both your store’s status and Flxpoint’s configuration.
  • Another possibility is that the order is “too old” for us to import. Under “Configure Settings”, you can set the date range (e.g., “Get Orders Created within the last X Days”). If you set this limit to 7 days, any order older than that window will not be imported. Consider increasing this number if needed.

Sync Orders

SUPPORTED

This operation supports updating an existing order with tracking information, shipping method, and shipping carrier to complete the order lifecycle.

Limitations: Partial Shipments are not supported on Best Buy CA. Flxpoint will pass the shipment information to Best Buy CA only when all non-cancelled items have been confirmed as shipped.
