BigCommerce as a Channel

BigCommerce is a fully supported sales channel in Flxpoint, enabling direct integration with your store to manage product listings, inventory updates, order syncing, and fulfillment operations. This integration helps ensure accurate data flow and efficient operations between your BigCommerce store and Flxpoint.

How To Connect

  • Log into your Flxpoint account.
  • Navigate to the Channels menu (left panel).
  • Click +Add Channel to add your BigCommerce store.
  • Select BigCommerce from the available channels.
  • Follow the setup prompts to provide store info and confirm your connection.
  • Once complete, your BigCommerce channel is integrated and ready to sync.

Connecting via OAuth2 is the simplest method for your own BigCommerce store. It automatically sets the required permissions in BigCommerce for Flxpoint to function properly.

  1. In Flxpoint, after selecting BigCommerce, choose OAuth2 as the connection method.
  2. Authorize the connection when prompted by BigCommerce.

  3. Enter your Store Hash (e.g., abc123) if asked, then click Continue.
  4. Flxpoint will complete the connection, and you’ll be ready to sync products & orders.

Note: If you’re connecting a vendor’s or partner’s BigCommerce store, they may need to approve the OAuth2 request or use an API Key instead.

Connecting via an API Key is useful if you have a vendor’s BigCommerce store, or you want to handle permissions manually.

  1. Obtain the Client ID, Client Secret, and Store Hash from the BigCommerce admin.

  2. In Flxpoint, select API Key as your connection method and enter those credentials.
  3. Click Continue to finalize the connection.

Important: Keep API credentials secure. If you lose them, you’ll need to re-generate them in BigCommerce.

Listing Operations

Import Listings

Import Listings - Supported

This operation pulls your existing BigCommerce products into Flxpoint so you can manage or link them to your inventory. It looks at your chosen “Master SKU” field (e.g. SKU, UPC, MPN) and attempts to match or create listings in Flxpoint.

Set Your Master SKU

Below is an example of choosing “SKU” as your Master SKU.
Setting Master SKU If a listing doesn’t link automatically, try picking a different field or ensure your SKUs match.

Set New Listings to Paused

When you pause new listings, no pricing or quantity info syncs to BigCommerce until you’re ready. That gives you time to confirm the data or link them to your internal inventory.

Choose Create Only (no overwriting) or Create & Overwrite Existing. Overwriting replaces data in Flxpoint with the data from BigCommerce when SKUs match.

Sync Listings

Sync Listings - Supported

This operation updates changes (Price, Quantity) from Flxpoint into your BigCommerce listings. It also supports “Hiding” and “Delisting” to manage out-of-stock behavior.

Hiding / Unhiding

In BigCommerce, you can configure “When a product is out of stock” to do things like “Hide the product” or “Redirect to category page.”

Delisting

Delisting fully removes the product from the storefront. If you want to restore it, you must “Publish” again.
