Connecting Your Primary Sales Channel

Overview

In Flxpoint, channels represent all sales channels in Flxpoint. Channels are used to:

  • Link and sync product data, pricing, quantity, and status from listing variants
  • Import new sales orders
  • Sync tracking information when received from sources

Your first task in onboarding is to connect your primary sales channel. This should be the sales channel that houses the most accurate and detailed product data (i.e. your custom website or primary marketplace).

Creating Your First Channel

To create your first channel,

  • Select your primary channel from the list or use the search bar at the top of the window

    • If you do not see your desired channel, click Use advanced setup wizard instead to see a comprehensive list of channels offered
  • Enter your channel credentials and configure settings. This will vary by channel.

  • Configure Import Listings

  • Configure Get Orders

  • Complete step

Every Channel can have integrations to connect various operations. Some of the most common operations are:

  • Import Listings: pulls current listings from your channel into Flxpoint
  • Sync Listings: syncs latest price, quantity, and status to a channel
  • Publish Listings: pushes latest product data, price, quantity, and status to a channel
  • Get Orders: receives new sales orders from a channel
  • Sync Orders: pushes latest shipments and tracking information to a channel

In this first step, you'll focus on integrating Import Listings and Get Orders.

Import Listings

The import listings integration allows you to import active listings on your sales channels into Flxpoint.

Import listings will import products in the following status:

  • Active, published products
  • Hidden products
  • Import listings will not import products in an archived or inactive state.

When a listing is imported, the following data is transferred:

  • Quantity & Pricing (at the time of the import)
  • Attributes & Options
  • Images, Brands, Categories, & Descriptions

You will see empty fields if any these data points do not exist on your sales channel.

Once the import listings job is complete, you will see imported listings at the channel listings level and imported products at the product catalog level.
