Source Inventory

Overview

The Source Inventory houses inventory data from your source(s). Each SKU in the Source Inventory represents an item from your sources(s) that can be fulfilled. For every item, Source Inventory houses rich product content, quantity, and pricing data.

The term Source Inventory generally refers to both product parents and variants from a source.


How Is Source Inventory Used?

Source Inventory is used to:

  • Reflect current data from your source(s)
  • Leverage in creating your Product Catalog
  • Serve as a fulfillment item that can be sent to your source via a fulfillment request/fulfillment orders while routing orders
  • Provide pricing and quantity information for your Product Catalog
Source Inventory Updates

The Get Inventory Primary and Secondary integrations for each source have the ability to import the latest changes in product data and pricing.

This means the inventory within the Source Inventory has the potential to change each time an integration is initiated.
