Limited Availability
Active Channels: Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, BigCommerce & Magento
The data you are able to import varies by sales channel. Please see channel specific docs for further details.
Note: Import Listings is visible on all channels, however, only the channels outlined above support this integration.
Importing Listings for the First Time
When importing listings for the first, we recommend beginning with your sales websites versus a marketplace such as Amazon.
In most cases, your sales website houses the most thorough product data, and Flxpoint can import this product data into the system. Marketplaces, on the other hand, typically offer less product data and will limit the information Flxpoint can import into the system.
The import listings integration allows you to import active listings on your sales channels into Flxpoint.

Import listings will import products in the following status:
- Active, published products
- Hidden products
- Import listings will not import products in an archived or inactive state.
When a listing is imported, the following data is transferred:
- Quantity & Pricing (captured once, when the listing is first created - later runs do not update these two fields)
- Attributes & Options
- Images, Brands, Categories, & Descriptions
You will see empty fields if any of these data points do not exist on your sales channel.
Once the import listings job is complete, you will see imported listings at the channel listings level and imported products at the product catalog level.
Manual Integration
The import listings integration cannot be scheduled. You will need to manually run the import listings integration when you want to import listings.
Configuration

Potential Listings Duplication
Import listings will only link Flxpoint's SKU to Channel's SKU.
Mismatched SKUs will result in duplicate listings and products.
Linking to Flxpoint channel listings and product catalog based on ASIN, GTIN, MPN, or UPC is not supported.
Set New Listings to Paused:
- If enabled, this setting will automatically set all newly imported listings to a Paused status.
- When a listing is paused, the listing is frozen and will not be synced or published using Flxpoint (even if queued).
- Pausing newly imported listings allows you to connect your imported listings to sources before orders flow into Flxpoint.
- If you choose to enable this setting, you will need to manually unpause the imported listings when you are ready to do so. You can unpause the listings by clicking Actions → Edit → Unpause as shown below:

Setting Your Master SKU
- Select from two options: Use a field from my channel or Don't set master SKU at this time
- Use a field from my channel: You will be prompted to select from the default options for your channel type (i.e. Shopify, Amazon, Magento).
- Don't set a master SKU at this time: If you choose to set your Master SKUs at a later time, you will need to set the Master SKU manually or in bulk using the Import Master SKUs tool.
Product & Listing Management
This required setting tells Flxpoint how listings from your channel should be imported: whether existing records are updated, and whether new products are created alongside new listings. Select one of the four options below.
| Option | What it does | When to use it |
| Change feed (recommended) | Creates new products & listings and updates existing ones. Only products and variants created or changed since the last successful run are fetched, so each run stays small and fast. | Your everyday default. Keeps Flxpoint aligned with your channel without re-reading the whole catalog. |
| New products and listings | Creates new products and new listings only. Existing Flxpoint products and listings are left untouched. | When you have already curated data in Flxpoint and don't want the channel to overwrite it. |
| New listings | Creates new listings only. No products are created in your catalog, and existing records are not updated. | When your product catalog is built from your sources and the channel should only contribute listings. |
| Catalog refresh (not recommended) | Creates new products & listings and updates all existing ones, re-reading your entire channel catalog. | One-off recovery only, for example after a bulk edit on the channel side. Expect a long-running job. |
Not every channel supports every option
Options a channel cannot support are greyed out in the dropdown and labelled (not supported for this channel). This depends on whether the channel's API can filter by a last-modified date, which is what makes Change feed possible.
The four options above are live for Shopify and BigCommerce. Other channels still show the previous option set and will be migrated separately.
Pricing & quantity are not updated by Import Listings
Price and quantity come in when a listing is first created, but no import option updates them afterward - including Catalog refresh. This is intended: price and quantity are aggregate fields owned by your Pricing & Quantity Strategies, which would overwrite any imported value on the next sync.
Titles, descriptions, brands, categories, images and attributes do update on the options that update existing records.
If you configured Import Listings before this change
Existing configurations were migrated automatically - there is nothing to re-enter. Your previous selection now maps as follows:
| Previous option | Now runs as |
| Create and update products & listings | Change feed (recommended) |
| Create products & listings only | New products and listings |
| Create new products only (retired) | Change feed (recommended) |
Check your setting if you used "Create new products only"
That option no longer exists. Those configurations now run Change feed, which also updates existing products and listings. If you need Flxpoint to leave existing records alone, switch the setting to New products and listings.
| Mapping Template |
For this integration, a mapping template is not required. Flxpoint will determine where to route the imported listings data automatically. Due to this, no post-mapping workflow rules can be applied to the import listings job. |

Frequently Asked Questions
| 1. Can I choose which products I can import from my sales channel? |
|
No. Flxpoint will import all products in an active, published, or hidden status. Tip: You may opt to place unwanted products in an archived or inactive status to prevent Flxpoint from importing the products. |
| 2. What happens if I already have products and listings in Flxpoint? |
| When importing listings from your sales channel, Flxpoint will scan for matches to existing Flxpoint listings and products based on SKU. If a SKU match is not found, a new listing or product will be created. |
| 3. Where is the mapping template? Do I need to configure a mapping template? |
| No. A mapping template is not required for the import listings integrations. Flxpoint routes the imported listings data to the appropriate fields automatically. |
| 4. Can I apply any rules to the import listings job? |
| No. Since import listings do not operate on a mapping template, post-mapping workflow rules are not supported. |
| 5. I imported my listings, but now I'm seeing duplicates? What happened? |
| Since Flxpoint matches imported listings on SKU, any variation in SKU will cause a duplicate listing/product to be created. |
| 6. I changed a price and a quantity on my channel and re-ran Import Listings, but Flxpoint did not update them. Why? |
|
This is expected on every import option, including Catalog refresh. Import Listings does not write price or quantity to existing listings. Those two fields are aggregate values owned by your Pricing & Quantity Strategies. If an import set them, the next pricing or quantity sync would immediately replace the value, so the imported number would only ever be correct for a few minutes. Adjust price and quantity through your strategies instead. Everything else, including title, description, brand, categories, images and attributes, does update on the options that update existing records. |
| 7. Which import option should I choose? |
|
Change feed for almost every case. It only fetches what changed on your channel since the last successful run, so runs stay fast, and it keeps existing records current. Choose New products and listings or New listings when you have curated data in Flxpoint that the channel should not overwrite. Reserve Catalog refresh for one-off recovery after a bulk change on the channel side, since it re-reads your entire catalog. |
| 8. My import option is greyed out. What does that mean? |
|
The channel cannot support that option, and the dropdown labels it (not supported for this channel). Change feed in particular requires the channel's API to filter by a last-modified date. Pick one of the options that is still selectable, or contact support@flxpoint.com if you need the behaviour that option would have given you. |
